Part 5

ALT.BABYLON.UK 5 START UP SEQUENCE

Simon: It was begining of a new age in mankind's history books, the third one. Fourteen years after the Earth-Minbari war. alt.babylon5.uk had failed - we were in the middle of one of the most fierce wars that was tearing the universe to shreads - and they still came. The Babylon Project gave way to a new hope, the hope that the number of test threads would be dramatically reduced. The year: 2272, the name of the place is alt.babylon5.uk.

::Cue Music...::

1. Karaoke Bar
Steevie jumps up on the table and begins to sing.

STEEVIE
It's NOT unusual to be loved by anyone;
It's NOT unusual to have fun with ANY-one

But when I see you hangin' around the cornerside It's not unusual, to see me cry;
I wanna die...

2. Steevie's Room
Steevie and John Ward are sitting in the room looking over some plans. The door chimes and Kosh enters.

STEEVIE
Leave us John.

WARD
Yes Sir. Should I get those erotic magazines for you now?

STEEVIE
::to Kosh:: ::laughs::
Oh, John - such a joker...
::Laughs again...::

::Ward runs off the screen::

KOSH
You are the gust of wind that extinguishes the candle.

STEEVIE
I don't understand...

KOSH
You are piece that will lose the game.

STEEVIE
I DON'T understand...

KOSH
If you do not commit forces - you will die.

STEEVIE
I still don't UNDERSTAND!

KOSH
Listen you numbskull - you're gonna destroy us all because of your alliance with the Shadows.

STEEVIE Oh...

3. Brig

MARKWCATS
Okay Jefferson, you're free to go...

JEFFERSON
Thank you. ::To Brack:: What will happen if Jones dies?

BRACK
Mark gets his room ::shrugs his shoulders::

A little depressed about the inflation rate and hem lines are going down again, but otherwise ...

4. Shuttlebay
Jefferson walks through looking for a ticket seller

JEFFERSON
::To Lurker One:: Do you have a ticket for a transport - I'll pay well.
::To Another:: Do YOU have a ticket - I'll give you my entire fortune - just get me off this damn station.
::He screams::
PLEASE - will someone sell me a ticket?

RATAOSK
You give me 500

::The Station suddenly goes to red alert Jefferson gets up and walks into the lifts::

5. Command Central
Batty is standing looking at four shadow ships.

BATTY
Enable defences.

GUARD 1
He's on speakerphone.

RAVEN
Hello - this is President Raven - I'm not at home at the moment - I'm very probably making love to someone who isn't my wife - if you want to leave a message please wait for the tone - thank you...

::50 second wait then beeps::

BATTY
Hello - this is Commander Elizabeth Batty of Babylon 5 - just letting you know that in three minutes we'll all be dead.

::People cry out::

BATTY You HAVEN'T read the episode synopsis yet? Shame on you...

8. Heart of Purple

HUTTON
That was the most pathetic space station I've ever been on - now for a cup of really hot tea and a copy of the Guardian...

::He walks over to a drinks\newspaper dispenser conviently not mentioned ::until now.::

HUTTON
One NORMAL tea made of tea leaves.

::Hutton takes a sip and spits it out all over the floor - he then gasps for air::

9. CGI - The shadows move in and attack

No - it's slightly tastier.

::Hutton drinks it and then throws it onto the controls - they begin to ::give off sparks:: ::

12. CGI
The Heart of Purple drifts off and we see a pinball-like sequence with the HOP banging into each of the shadow ships destroying them before self destructing itself.
